The cottage is in the garden next to our family home with a security fence, on a working sheep and cattle farm. The space is well decorated, spacious, neat and clean. It gets wonderful afternoon sun making it light and airy. The cottage has all the necessary amenities for a very comfortable stay. We are situated outside of Swartberg, halfway between Underberg and Kokstad. Located conveniently right off the R617 making it easily accessible with minimal gravel road (D609 and D618 district roads)
The space
The cottage is self-catering, with a fully equipped kitchen. It has solar power, a gas geyser and is equipped with WiFi. Guests are more than welcome to take a leisurely stroll on the farm to enjoy the display of the Southern Drakensberg or to explore the many dams (our dogs would love to join you) Or simply relax under the apple tree. The cottage and location is ideal for overnight stays for travelling guests, or guests working in the area. Being on the same property as the farm house, it is not an ideal holiday destination. We are 55km from Kokstad and 56km from Underberg. Shopping would need to be done before as there are no shops or restaurants in Swartberg. Coffee, tea and milk are provided.
Guest access - Guests can park in the garage, right next to the cottage. Or anywhere on the grass in front of the cottage.
Other things to note - We have two very friendly and curious dogs. A German Pointer, June, and a Border Collie, Jackson.
